I’m a scientist by training – BA in Physics from Boston University and then my PhD in Materials Science from UC Berkeley. I spent six years in Tokyo and London as an Associate Director (basically an international program manager) for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Global, giving scientific research grants in the fields of advanced materials and power and energy to scientists all over the world. While in London, I completed an Executive MBA at London Business School (LBS), allowing me to explore ideas on venture capital and start-ups.
I moved back to San Francisco in 2014 and enjoy trail running, stand-up paddle-boarding, hiking and surfing.
